With a population of 700 people, Drumshanbo provides a friendly atmosphere for the visitor and there is an abundance of good pubs, restaurants and shops as well as activities for all the family.
Drumshanbo town is neatly kept with its streets lined with cherry blossom trees and has won many awards for its tidy appearance and well kept houses. The town is famous both at home and abroad for traditional arts and music with its annual festivals, such as, The Joe Mooney Summer School and An Tostal with their emphasis on Irish music, singing and pageantry.
